Joseph Wan Wins Denker Qualifier

Joseph Wan won in a six game round robin with Micheal Takahashi and Owen Fiedorowicz. Each player played the other twice both black and white, but after round 5 Joseph had enough points that the sixth round was unnecessary. The games were played Saturday the 30th of March in the basement of the University of Iowa Community Credit Union on Morman Trek in Iowa City. Sunday the 31st of March the games were played in East Asia Reading Room at the University of Iowa's Main Library. It was a great competition with each player giving their all. I almost wish we could send all three to the Denker tournament and each play two of the 6 rounds in the National Tournament in Orlando Florida. It would be just a little complicated......
